Unfortunately, keratin isn't for those with a tight budget. It cost me about $450 (but that includes tip and also a hair trimming, so it was probably more around $300 bare basics). I think there are shady internet home kits, but I would really recommend getting at least your first time done at a salon.

Try using triple detox by living proof. It should help your hair with the greasy feeling. Make sure you use a good conditioner because your hair will feel like straw at first after you wash out the shampoo. I use pureology hydrate conditioner in the purple bottle. I alternate the detox shampoo every other wash.
Try using a hair oil when your hair is damp or you can do a keratin treatment. So this is just my experience, but I could not get the effects of keratin to wash out and wound up big chopping my hair in late 2019 to get rid of the parts with keratin. I have naturally curly (3c specifically) hair and used to get keratin a 1-2 times a year from about 2016 to 2019.
Hi everyone, I wondered if someone can help me out here. I belong to a number of “curly girl method” groups where the general consensus seems to be that keratin smoothing treatments (like Goldwell Kerasilk) are bad and will damage your hair. However, i have talked to a few hairdressers (NOT curly girl hairdressers or curl specialists) that
